Polblue Swamp

The latest images come from the beautiful Polblue Swamp high in the Barrington Tops National Park on the edge of the upper Hunter Valley. I was lucky enough to spend a few nights camping there with my family in the last school holidays. Outside of the Australian Alps this is the highest area in the country and has regular snowfalls in the winter, another family camping nearby had to clear freshly fallen snow to pitch their tent just two days before we arrived. The area affords some spectacular views and plenty of wildlife to watch for, kangaroos and wallabies of course, eagles, brumbies and the most resourceful and determined currawongs I have encountered in my travels.
